About Me

I’m a neurodivergent reader, writer, and editor. I write poetry, creative nonfiction, and fiction. I earned my MFA in Creative Writing from Seattle Pacific University in 2017. I earned my BA in Writing and Religion from Berry College in 2015. For three years, I led adult and teen creative writing workshops at the Springdale Public Library in Springdale, AR. At one of these programs, I discovered my love of editing fiction. I went on to edit books from writers at those programs.

My background makes me a unique editor. I concentrated on poetry in my MFA, and those two years of intense focus taught me how to play with language and write lyrically.

I’ve always been a grammar nerd, but tutoring English Language Learners for two years taught me even more about the irregularities of our language. I love grammar, phonics, and spelling, so I’ll notice things others don’t in your work.

And finally, in 2020, during self-isolation, I wrote my first fantasy novel. Since I’ve been on both sides of the process editor and writer I know what the experience is like for you, and I want to work with you in a spirit of encouragement and respect. Writing is playful and magical, but it’s also technical and detail-oriented. And it’s so. much. work.

As an editor, I will respect your writing and your vision. I’ll take some of that work off your agenda. And I’ll bring my own unique skillset to your manuscript.

Let's talk about your story, why you're excited about publishing it, and how I could help you!
